We got the oppurtunity to go to Las Vegas to go to the Americas Got Talent show and see Anna Graceman perform. Here are 2 videos people posted on youtube of a duet that Anna Graceman did with the winner of Australias Got Talent Jack Vidgen. They did amazing. There were shows 3 nights and all 3 nights they got a Standing Ovation after this performance. Hope you enjoy!

50 Things to do with the kids summer

Ryan & I decided that would do a 50 fun things summer. Here are some of the 50 things that we did.

Danny's Birthday!

This year was Danny's year to have a date with Mommy and Daddy for his birthday.

The he got to go choose his birthday present at the store.

Our 4th of July at the family cabin

According to Danny it is "Cabin's House" (James' brother's cabin). What more could the boys ask for for a holiday weekend....Cooler weather, large backyard, cousins, both grandma's and grandpa's..........

Part of Ryan's 50 things summer was having sundaes on the ground. He was lucky enough to share that with his cousins.

The Beach

We had been wanting to take the boys to the beach this summer. When we got the opportunity to go to a live taping of Americas Got Talent we thought it would be great time to take the boys to the beach. My parents were so gracious to come and help us with the boys while we went to the show. The boys were lucky and got to spend a few days at the beach with a lot of their cousins.

Ryan's First Day of School

Ryan had been waiting for this day for so long. He loves to learn. When I took him to meet the teacher he pointed out that on the bathrooms they said Boys & Girls and not Mens & Womens. He thought that was pretty cool.

All of you stay at home moms out there I believe have had a day like I had yesterday. Afternoon filled non compliant children continually. Patience begins to wear thin and the once happy loving sweet mom becomes lost and out comes an ogre that is angry and doesn't see things so lovely anymore. When Jamie came home from work and saw this ogre face he knew there was something that needed to happen. Soon after, he called my mom to see if she would be willing to take the non compliant boys so that we could go out and get rid of the ogre and find the happy loving sweet mom that was once there. A date is just what the Doctor ordered. A nice relaxing evening just Jamie and I no dinner needing to be made, just like we were dating again. I am so grateful for such a wonderful husband that takes care of me. Thanks Jamie! I love you!

Learning to Fly

Of course being a Super hero you don't just automatically know how to fly or know how to be a super hero. You have learn and practice. First you have to get in the set of mind of those that you would be your nemesis.Second : Breath....
Take that first jump....
Get that "super" pose before you take off.

Jeep Makeover

We saw this jeep on the side of the road with a sign on it asking $45 and it works. Well we looked it up online to see how much they normally costs. Brand new it costs $270. So we went and knocked on the door and they had some dressers on their porch. Jamie asked how much they are asking for them and they said that they were planning on donating it but if we bought the jeep they would bundle the 2 dressers and the jeep for $60. SOLD! We knew the jeep was pink but we thought of it as an opportunity for a makeover.

Have you ever had that moment when the person (usually a lady) is in front of you in the grocery line and she whips out a bunch of coupons once they have rung her all up and you are so annoyed? Well after you read this post next time you are in this situation you might just be jealous.....

The end of last fall I joined Coupon Sense to try it out. Well I have had a very good experience. Since I have been married I never had really used coupons. Sure my mom used them when I was growing up but it seemed like such a hassle. To sit and cut coupons and then getting ready to go to the store trying to remember where I placed those darn things. And of course you see on the coupon save $.35 on such and such an item. Well is it really worth the hassle for $.35.... Well Coupon Sense has a very organized system so when you are looking at their webpage you know exactly where it should be. They tell you if it is a good or a great deal and you only cut the coupons you need and when you need them. Waiting till that item is on a good sale and then using that couple when they are quadrupling them makes for BIG savings. Pudding War..... I Mean Art

As dinner came to a close we decided to do some pudding art. Cold and slimy in your fingers caused for a slow start. All was well and clean only on the paper until Daddy decided he needed to spice it up without getting into trouble. As something was whispered in Danny's ear his eyes lit up. I thought I heard something about a nose and then all of the sudden...... WHAM! Wet sliminess on my nose by a little hand. Little did Daddy know that this was going to backfire on him. Danny got a handful of pudding and threw it at him. Glops all over his shirt, face and about 7 feet behind him on the floor. Of course it didn't stop there. In those few seconds there was a monster created. Throwing pudding at anything that he could and having an evil chuckle the whole way and of course a bath to follow.

Now that we are back from our vacation we stay by our choice of leaving the kids at home. We saw other parents with kids our boys age and they said they would have waited till their kids were at least 5 or older to take them on a Disney Cruise. We missed them but we could just look at this picture we had taken of them on our camera of them before we left. They were really excited to settle into Grandma Adams house.

Vacationing in Paradise

This huge ship with take you on the road to Disney Paradise. With food galore at your fingertips at no additional costs and those amazing Broadway shows. Then there is the theatre on board and then there is the beautiful views. That is not including the awesome different excursions that are available each morning you wake up. At times when you see what the kids get to do you just want to be one of the kids again!And you can't go wrong with getting a nice kiss on the cheek from the queen mouse Minnie.

Chicken Little

As we left Lehi Days early the boys missed doing the chicken chase we felt bad so there were some people selling chicks for $5 and figured that might make up for not staying for the chicken chase. The boys were delighted. As we left in our car we asked the boys what we should name our chicken and the Ryan shouted "Chicken Little". They have loved to feed her and have her sit in their laps. And now Danny is trying to educate her with his books.

At the end of the day and dinner is being rounded up sometimes it seems to be there are less battles that we want to fight. As I saw the glee on my boys faces as they got messy cereal out and decided that it was edible confetti I figured that was a battle that the swivel sweeper would fight after the boys were though with their rampage and victory.

You see they have this little inside thing that when Grandpa will say, "Oh NO!" and Danny will repeat "Oh NO!' and hit his hands to his forehead. As this unfolds ..... Well you will see what happens......

Christmas 2009

This Christmas was one of the best, I was thrilled to see how excited and surprised everyone was when they received their presents. It was especially fun watching Ryan and Danny getting excited for Santa to bring them presents. Of course all Ryan said that he wanted Santa to bring him was an orange. So there was no let down there. As we came down the stairs to see their eyes get big and Danny yell, "Mommy TRAINS!!" Although we thought that it would be the other way around that Ryan would be the one that is ecstatic about the trains. Santa got a really good deal on the train table. :) As the morning pressed forward and presents were opened Danny was not the one to be opening them he was too busy with the trains. Luckily Ryan didn't mind opening his brothers presents for him.

As we headed to my parents house the excitement was building and it wasn't the boys that were getting excited. We found a nice flat screen tv for my parents for their bedroom online for half price and just had to get it for them. They do so much for us as they watch our boys at least once a week or more and are always are willing. They had no clue of what was coming. :)

Of course Danny got lots of cars and trucks and has been busy with them since.
We had to throw my parents off some so we got my mom a small George Forman Grill.

If you notice that big box next to me... I got a canner for Christmas! I am excited to be able to can when ever I have some time. Thanks Mom and Dad!

My dad surprised my mom with a beautiful coffee table from Costco that has foozball under the lid.

Once all the presents had been opened. We told my parents that there was one more gift. We told them that we were going to do a bedroom makeover for them and to kick it off they needed to look on the back porch. They were shocked! They loved it!

Attempting Domestic

A few months ago at a stake Enrichment/Relief Society meeting they had a few classes that they provided. There was one that caught my eye and I just wanted to do it. Finally I cracked down and went to the store and got my supplies. After many many hours(we are talking 3 days here) of the sewing machine humming this is what I was able to create: My attempt at Being Domestic.

Now I am excited for be able to make another one for Danny's bed and maybe someday when I have another baby I will make them one.

Zoo

This last week we went to the zoo with some friends. The boys had fun seeing all the animals. Kinsley is Ryan and Danny's best buddy right now. They love to go anywhere with her. After a little while they got to go to the park and play.

Sunday at Grandmas

A few Sundays ago we were at Jamie's parents house just hanging out. Jamie's mom had finished a dress for my niece that lives out of state that is about the same age as Danny. They were trying to figure out if it was going to fit her so I told them Danny was probably about the same size so they tried on him to see how it fit him. Poor boy being put in a dress. But this reminds me of a picture of Jamie.... (see 2nd picture)
When Jamie was about the same age a Danny he sisters thought that it would be fun to dress him up as a girl. Now isn't that cute! They look so similar!
Danny later wanted to law down next to his cousins on the floor and this is all who joined him. Isn't that cute!

Halloween

We have been really busy with work and other things that I have been really bad about keeping up on my blog. The boys had lots of fun on halloween. They wanted to be basketball players but i couldn't find any jerseys for them. So we decided that it would be fun for them to be football players. Jamie went as a Ref and I went as a cheerleader. We went over to my brother in laws house where their cul-de-sac is their ward party. They had a few blow up just houses and things like that. The boys had a blast. After a while we headed over to my parents truck or treat. The boys are still asking about their candy and the get a piece here and there.

Ryan's birthday

I can't believe that I have a son that is 4. Ryan has grown up so much and is a big helper and a good listener. Sometimes we do have independence problems but I guess that can come with his age. Well we decided this year that for his birthday we would have a date with Ryan and next year he will have a birthday party. We took him to Neilsons frozen custard. He had lots of fun. With his meal he got a chocolate custard. Jamie had told the workers there that it was Ryan's birthday. A few minutes after we had our food over the speaker they had playing "Happy Birthday to Ryan song". Ryan thought that it was pretty cool but he was a little embarrassed. They brought out a brownie with custard on it and a candle. He had been talking all day about blowing candles out so he liked that. After that we took him present shopping, he got to choose one present and we picked out some clothes for him. He says, "I'm 4!"

We must not have gotten a picture of him brownie and custard. We went back to my parents house where Danny was and Ryan got to open presents from grandma and grandpa and blow out some more candles.

Danny didn't like the feel of the hat.
It had been a while since we had had Ryans computer set up so Jamie decided to set it up for him again. Once he got it set up the boys were in cloud 9. And Yes Ryan does know how to use the keyboard and spell things to get him to where he wants to go without help from mom.
We have his computer projected on the wall we they can't break anything and they love it.

More Camping.

We decided that we would do our last camping of the year. We headed up north to cooler country. My uncle loves weather so he had a thermostat up there and in the morning at 6 it was 29 degrees. Needless to say we had somewhat of a long night with the boys waking up every few hours crying. All in all we had fun. During the day up there the weather was beautiful. My dad brought his quad and so that is all the boys wanted to do. We got to see some elk the night that we got up there when we went on a ride where we had the quad hooked up to the trailer that we brought it up on so we could have more riders. The boys loved it.

Great way to Celebrate

Four posts in one day! Man I must have really been behind...... The Saturday after my birthday our friends invited us to go to the lake with them. They brought a wake board. We had tons of fun. Jamie and I had never been wake boarding before. Of course Jamie got up a lot faster than me but I did get up by the end of the day. Thanks Abe and Jess for taking us! Here are some photos to highlight our day.

This is Abe and Jessica's son Kaiden. He seemed to love the boat and after a little bit of driving the boat around the lake he fell asleep.
Jess is awesome. She is 5 months pregnant here, she was easy on herself but she did awesome!

As you can tell we love to take photos. We have had fun playing with our photography equipment. We bought this new backdrop and thought that we would try it out on Ryan after church. He loves to have his picture taken.

He was suppose to be flexing here. It just made me laugh.

We had meaning to get family photos since my brother got married but just hadn't gotten around to it. But with finding out recently that my dad has cancer we thought that it would be a good time to go take family photos. It was nice to get some good family photos and get some good ones of my parents and my dad with the boys. When we first got to the location the first spot we started setting up there were a lot of bees around. We just thought we would try to do our thing and let them do their thing. Within just a few minutes Ryan was crying and low and behold he had been stung. We pulled the stinger out of his wrist. By the time that we moved to the next spot just a few feet away Ryan had already stopped crying. We were so proud of him. He smiled for all the pictures and listened so well. Just like before the rocks and sand was when what kept Danny occupied. Here is a cool shot that Jamie got while we were getting photos done.

Getting to the Great Outdoors

We went camping this last weekend to enjoy the outdoors and escape the heat. My new sister in law's family came too. It was a lot of fun. My dad brought his quad and we borrowed Jamie's brother's quads. That is all the boys wanted to do. The first night Danny was getting tired but my dad decided to give him one last ride for the evening. Well he fell asleep on the ride and we put him right in his bed when he got back. So the next night we tried the same thing and it worked like a charm. Both of our boys are in heaven when they are one the quads. While we were camping Ryan had his first "Crush". My sister in law has a sister that is 7 her name is Menta. She is a little small for her age. If Ryan wasn't with Menta he was asking where she was. One evening Ryan asked Jamie where his "blue Menta" was and Jamie looked around and low and behold Menta was wearing a blue shirt. It was really cute. Now when we go to my parents house he asks if Menta is going to be there.

When we went to Clints Well to go get some water and a few things that we forgot we bought the boys a FunDip. They loved it as you can tell.

Anytime that I am cooking Ryan and sometimes Danny is right there next to me. Ryan wants to help cook everytime. This is Danny pushing the chair over to help mommy cook.

Danny brought be this shirt one day and said he wanted to wear it. Once i got it on him I realized it looked like a dress with a very revealing front. So I couldn't help but to take some pictures of it.

4th of July

For the 4th this year we decided to go with Jamie's family to his brother's cabin in Showlow. Unfortunately but fortunately we had tickets to Wicked for Friday night. So we left that night after it was over. We have been listening to the music from Wicked for a few years now. So it was really fun to see the play. It was AWESOME!! We loved seeing the story and the wardrobes were amazing.We had decided that we would leave right after Wicked to the cabin because we figured that the boys would sleep the whole way up. After we picked them up from my parents house Danny decided that he was awake.... he talked to us the whole way there. Remember this was at 11pm. He ended talking to us the whole way there and half way there woke up Ryan in that process. They were pretty good except for once we got there Danny decided that he was going to stay up another hour. The next morning we went with Jamie's family to the Showlow 4th of July parade. It was a lot of fun and Ryan scored a lot of candy. (62 pieces to be exact, my niece decided to count it.)
These "backpacks" always come in handy in these type of situations. They can have their space and feel like their have their freedom to move but you have control on how far they can get away. They like them because they think they are fun back packs.

Danny loved to play on the trampoline with his cousins and held his ground on it pretty well.
They loved it up there, they could be outside all day long.
That evening we went over to Heber to meet up with my parents. We have been going to Heber for years for the 4th. They have really good fireworks.
These boys love to be with Grandma and Grandpa.
We made ice cream in baggies which was really fun and of course Ryan wanted to help out. It was a pretty good recipe. 1/2 cup half and half 1/2 cup milk 4 tbsp sugar 1tsp vanilla I think that is it. Put that in a baggie and then put that baggie in a larger baggie that has about 1/4 cup of rock salt and some ice and shake it until the mixture is thick. We crumbled some oreos and put it in there and that was good too.
We had a very fun 4th with Family and I think that the boys are looking forward to next year.
This was the grand finale of the fireworks show that we saw in Heber.

I know I have been MIA. I was helping get everything ready for my brother's wedding. We are very excited for them. With that being over we are ready for to be not quite as busy for a while. Monday was our little Danny's birthday! I can't believe that it has been two years. He has grown up so much and we love having him apart of our family. He is not quite as interested in learning things as Ryan was but he just loves life and has fun with his cars and balls. We did a little family party which I think was perfect for him. We got the slip n slide out at my parents house and they played in that for awhile. We also got the water guns out and just had fun playing with the water, as you can see in the pictures.

After that we opened presents from mommy and daddy and grandmas and grandpas. Ryan did really well considering all the gifts that Danny got and he only got a few clothes. Then we had cake and ice cream. He wasn't too sure about blowing out the candles just like his brother so mommy ended up doing it. I will try to be better now about blogging and keeping it posted better. You can always take a gander at our CI Motion blog to see the recent work we have done there.

These boys of mine love to help me any way they can. But when I am cooking or baking there there is no way to shoo them away. They want to help and they have a blast. We decided to make cookies this morning after we made breakfast because I figured it would be easier for me to let them help with that than making eggs that they wanted to help with. So once everyone's plate was in the sink we got the chairs out and each of them took turns pouring ingredients into the bowl. Of course they had to enjoy their spoils and of course Danny being the little one, made a masterpiece of his cookie on his face and body.... I just enjoyed watching him devour his cookie.

Poor Ryan didn't get too many pictures because he wasn't as messy. But he was just as cute.

Strike a Pose

Once Jamie got the camera out last night while the boys were playing in the yard Ryan just started saying cheese.... Jamie would ask him to go to different spots and he would just pose there for the picture. Ryan is very proud that he is now wearing underwear and to tell you the truth he has basically potty trained himself but he took his time to decide to do it.
When we took the carpet out of our downstairs to put new flooring down we decided that we would put the carpet on the side yard and then the boys could play out there more. That was a very good idea. They love it out there.

Then he wasn't happy about it but he was ok with it.
We just got family pictures and of course Danny didn't smile this good for them. But we still thought that they were cute in their truck. Danny at first didn't like the idea of Ryan in the truck with him and then we started saying, "Yea!!" and then they both started smiling big... I guess that is the key.

Of course for Easter we got Ryan and Danny outfits for church. Unfortunately they didn't have anything super cute for Ryan's size but for Danny's size.... It is adorable! We just had to get some pictures of this boy in his handsome preppy outfit.

It is again that time of the year that strawberries are on sale for cheap... Which means that it is time to make strawberry jam. We bought our strawberries at Superstition Ranch Market. They were 3lbs for $1. Jamie bought 17 pounds and it ended up being about $6.... Not bad... Lets just say it made a lot of jam and then we still had strawberries to freeze. But we had a lot of fun.

We decided that for Jamie's birthday we would go to Disneyland since he and Danny would get in free and the day after go to Six flags while our boys went to Universal Studios with my parents. We had lots of fun. We got there before the gates opened. This is Jamie and the boys while we were waiting to get into the park. Ryan was just tall enough to ride the Matterhorn and the Gadget Go Coaster. We were excited for him because he seems to be a thrill seeker. Maybe.... we were a little wrong..... This is Ryan just before he got on the Matterhorn (his first ride of the day)... He went with Jamie on it and apparently he screamed the whole way. It was way too scary for him. Unfortunately that kinda ruined almost every ride for him the rest of the day. He was very uptight on every ride and was always pointing behind us saying, "I want to go that way". He even cried and said he didn't like Small World... Poor Kid! We think that the dark tunnels scared him...Although his favorite rides were Dumbo, Mad Hatter Tea Cups and Nemo. Hence none of them had dark tunnels.... He asked to go on tea cups several times, we went on them twice and dumbo twice and Danny and I went on them 3 times.

Over all they had a fun time. But if you are going to be taking little ones to Disneyland we recommend using Ridemax. Other than the Nemo ride I think the longest we stood in line was 7 or 8 minutes and the Nemo ride was only for 20 minutes. We got very spoiled. We had enough time to get to all the rides that we wanted and went back to the hotel at 12:30 and get a nap and come back to the park at 6:30. Have dinner and watch the fireworks.

Happy Birthday Jamie! Jamie is my bestest friend that I have ever had and I am excited that I get to spend forever with him. Thank you Jamie for all that you do for me and I love you!

Last weekend we got to take our boys to Lehi days. They had a lot of fun. They have all kinds of fun events for the kids. Some of the events they do are ... 5-7 year old sheep riding(these sheep are like bucking broncos trying to get these kids off their back), 8-10 calf riding, dress the goat, horse grocery races, barrel races, money goat, chicken chase and so many other fun things. When Ryan is 5 he is defiantly going to do the sheep riding. My niece and nephews had fun. Maybe next year I will dress one of the goats with my niece or one of my nephews. Ryan and Danny got to do the chicken chase. They had all the kids in each age range and had them see who could get the chicken first. They would put out a few chicks for the little ones to get. The whole time we were there Danny wanted to be on the field. For a few minutes while his uncle Scott wasn't doing anything on the field he got to sit with him and oh was he happy to be over there. He didn't want to come back when Scott had to go take care of some things on the field.

Valentines

On Friday night Jamie came home with some Chocolates for me for Valentines. But of course with 2 little boys mommy only got to eat 1 1/2 of them and the rest the boys got to have. I was happy to share, they love "ba bow" (what Danny calls chocolate). I mean look at that face, how would you not want to share it with that cute messy face.

On Valentines day we decided that we would go to lunch where we went to lunch on our first date. Tom's BBQ. It was just as good as I remembered.

The boys later that day got to take some rides on Grandpa's quad, which they absolutely loved! We got some cute pictures of Danny and Jamie while on there. That evening we went to watch Arizona Junior Miss that my niece was in and she did a great job.

We seem to get a lot of pictures of Danny with messy faces but we just think he looks so cute and he definitely enjoys himself. We decided to get pizza for dinner and Danny was excited to feed himself. I think it might be that he thinks he is so big and maybe he is but i just don't want him growing up.

These boys of mine just love to be together and with mommy. They love to play on the computer and they sit in the chair together while Ryan navigates and Danny watches. It is so fun that they are at an age now that they can interact so much and be good buddies. I have been telling myself that I need to capture those moments that they are at the computer together and finally I did.

In Ryan's Sunbeam class a for valentines his teachers gave out fun dips and the boys loved it as you can tell.

Too Big

I went in to get Danny out of bed this morning and he had been playing in the baby swing. Later after i got him dressed he decided to climb in there again so I decided to take a few pictures of him. He definatly is bigger than when he use to swing in it as a new born. Oh how they grow so fast!Jamie got Ryan's computer up and running and we are using our projector to put if up on the wall so we don't have to deal with monitors and they can't hurt anything. They have so much fun with it.

Ryan over Christmas decided that he was going to potty train himself. Which was very exciting for me. He has definatly got the pee down we are still working on the other end but I think we are almost there. That would be one out of diapers and one to go. He is definatly my big boy.

I have had a lot of work to do at home lately with different video and photo jobs. I just got a little bit of time so I thought that I would post some fun pictures from Christmas. We had a great Christmas. The boys had lots of fun and it was fun to see then enjoy the gifts and stockings. I think one of their favorite gifts though was one that Jamie got, I will talk about it later in the post.

This is our tree after Santa put all the gifts under the tree and on it.

Danny's favorite thing right now is Balls. If he sees an orange its a ball or anything that looks like a ball or is a ball he wants to hold it and throw it. Good thing Santa brought him some balls for him.

It was fun to see Ryan get excited to open the presents and rip the wrapping paper and knew just what to do. We could barely get Danny's attention enough to open one gift. He had fun though.

On Christmas eve we went to Wal mart to get a few last minute things and we decided to go down the bike aisle. We were both surprised how excited our boys got and we let Ryan sit on one and then Danny wanted to sit on one. So we asked Ryan if he wanted Santa to bring him a bike for Christmas and he said yes. So we told Santa. Ryan loved getting a bike from Santa.
Surprisingly enough I think that Danny likes Ryan's bike more than Ryan the few days that we had it inside he was climbing on it and just sitting there on the seat. Then we went to my parents house where Grandma and Grandpa had more fun gifts for the boys and Jamie and I. The boys got a fun wagon that you can see in the back of the picture which that LOVE. But the gift that Jamie got that is the boys favorite is the large Remote control car. It is big enough that if the boys and on their little push quad he can push they with it. They love chasing it and riding on it. This cup that Danny has it the one that has the water in between the walls of the cup. It was quite funny because he got very confused and frustrated when he would try to drink it as he thought that there was water in it.

This is the first year that Ryan kind of understands that he can ask for what Santa is going to bring him. We have been asking what it is that he wants Santa to bring him... is it toys... his answer is "NO", do you want books..... "NO"...What is is that you want Santa to bring you and his answer every time no matter who asks it is "An Orange".... OK I guess I can't complain about that. He asks to go see Santa from time to time because when we went to our ward Christmas party I told him that Santa would be there and we left early cause the boys were getting really tired. Sorry Ryan. We also asked Ryan what the stockings on the wall were and he said "Santa". They are red and white just like Santa's clothes. Pretty smart kid. I think that this Christmas is going to be better than the Christmases before and I am sure that next year will be that much better! I am excited to see all that they boys will understand more and more each year.

I can never say enough how much I love the family that I married into. All my brother and sister-in-laws are amazing. They all have their own amazing traits that I would love to have someday. Jamie's brother(Kirk Adams) recently ran for Arizona state Legislature and of course won his race. With this being his 2nd full term he decided to run for the Arizona Speaker of the House. He ran against a man that had been in there for many terms and many people were unsure that he could win. By a small margin he was elected and is now the Arizona Speaker of the House. Here is a article that was on the front of the East Valley Tribune. I thought that it was a great article so I thought that I would share how proud we are of him.

Ryan and Danny have recently loved to climb into the dryer and play in there while I am making dinner so I decided the other day to take a few fun pictures of it. I call them my little astronauts.

Recently Ryan has been been obsessed with pirates. So for Halloween I decided to make him a pirate costume. He absolutely loved it. I was pretty proud of his $2 pants from DI.

We went to our ward trunker treat a few days before Halloween. The boys had tons of fun. Danny got to Fish....They did a cake walk....(that is what is on Danny's Face there)
On Halloween night we went to both grandparents houses. My parent's ward has a trunker treat down at the elementary school down the street from their house. The boys got way too much candy. But they did have a blast.

Both California (prop 8) and Arizona (prop 102) voters will have the oppertunity to vote on a state consititutional admendment that will define marriage as one man and one woman. The oposition has many arguments and one of those is that allowing marriage between same sex couples has no effect on anyone else. The video below talks about the California prop 8 but this also applies to our prop 102 and why we all need to vote yes.

Let the festivities begin

October is a busy month for us. Well at least one week of the month of October. Five years ago on the 19th Jamie and I met for the first time at a young single adult function. The next year we were married on October 21st (4 years ago). Finally but definitely not least the next year on October the 20th Ryan was born. So the last few days have been fun and have brought back many wonderful memories. We decided after Jamie was done teaching a client on Friday that we would go to dinner and since we were in the neighborhood and Jamie received a $50 gift card from work that we would go to Ruth's Chris. It was amazing. If you are looking for a place to dress up and go to dinner and splurge a little or maybe a lot you should go there. Unfortunately since it was a spur of the moment thing we weren't really dressed up and we didn't have a camera to take any pictures. So that was our anniversary dinner. Monday was the 20th so we got to take Ryan to Bounce U. We just did the grandparent thing. Open bounce was cheap and Ryan had a blast and so did Danny. Jamie and I couldn't help but join in the fun too I mean it was our anniversary the next day right?

Ryan was afraid of the candles, he is afraid of anything that is hot. I guess that is a good thing. As you can see he needed some help blowing out the candles cause he was too afraid of the fire. Which says a lot cause my boys aren't afraid of many things.

For our anniversary the next evening after Jamie got off work we put the boys to bed and our amazing neighbor April watched the boys for us while we went and used a gift card we had won at a fundraiser recently. We went to Joe's Farm Grill. It was really good. After we were done we were wanting to go a haunted house because on our honeymoon we went to Knotts Scary Farm. Unfortunately with it being a Tuesday none of them were open. So we decided to go to the State fair. It was a lot of fun. I had only been once when I was a little girl. There were some pretty fun rides there. Maybe next year we will get to go to either Knotts Scary Farm or Six Flags Fright Fest. Happy Anniversary Jamie! Thanks for 4 of the best years of my life!

The Last Hoo-ray!

Yesterday we were over at the neighbors house and Wendy told the boys that if they cleaned up the toy room that they could play in the sprinkler. With the weather starting to cool off we had realized that this would probably be the last time that they would get to play in the water outside. So once they finished cleaning up the toy room we got the boys swim suits on and got things set up so that they could play in the water. I thought that it would be a great time to take some fun photos. These boys had lots of fun playing the water. They just loved running through it and enjoying the water. It was nice that it wasn't scorching outside and we just got to enjoy watching the boys play.
Christian decided that he was going to give Ryan a shower and Ryan loved it!

Overall it was a good last Hoo-Ray for the summer and we are also looking forward to the cooler weather to be able to take the boys to the park and things like that.

Bounce U

A few weekends ago we decided to take Ryan to the open bounce at Bounce U. If you haven't ever been there they have a bunch of blow up things to play in like slides, boxing rings, etc.... The boys had so much fun. Ryan was running up the slides and loved it. Danny on the other hand wasn't sure about it at first. I took him down the slide and he was whimpering at the top and when we got to the bottom he wasn't too sure about that either. But after 2 or 3 times of doing that he was ready to go. After that he was kicking his legs and grunting at the slides asking to go down again. Ryan was the smallest one that was there going by himself. When he would climb the slide there was a long line behind him every time. It was cute.

Once he liked it he was smiling when we would get to the bottom.
Ryan thought that when he went down the slide that he needed the pouches that some of the kids were using. It was just cute that he wanted to be like the big kids.
After a while we let Danny go down the slide by himself in the pouch. He loved it! I thought that this was a cute picture of Jamie and Danny. Of course Ryan was sad to go. The rest of the day Ryan was saying Bounce U! Bounce U! With it being his birthday next week I think that we are going to take him there for his birthday.

Modern day Picasso

On Labor Day while we were making Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls our neighbors were painting some boxes with their 4 year old to make a space ship. They invited Ryan to join them and boy did he. He loved it. He was a little shy about the finger painting at first cause mommy doesn't usually let him get messy. He painted quite well. Of course being a 2 year old he did get it all over his shirt, pants, legs and arms and of course on mom. I didn't mind.

Afterwards he got a nice bath. You like how he got it on his face. He looked like he put on Indian war paint. I thought it was pretty cute. He had a lot of fun and we had a lot of fun watching him.

A few weeks ago we went up to Utah to shoot my cousin's wedding. It was a lot of fun and the photos turned out great. Check out some of the photos we shot. The day after the wedding was Saturday so we kicked it my my family in Santaquin Canyon for lunch and had a nice picnic. Ryan loved running all around and enjoying the beautiful weather as were we. I can't believe that he is going to be 3 soon. Where did all the time go. We got to see my grandma and grandpa that I don't get to see very often as they are from Florida. So here are some pictures from our picnic.

As Ryan is growing he loves books more and more. Last week I was on the computer getting some work done and I decided to go check what Ryan was doing. I found him in his chair that we read books to him in his room. Looking at a book by himself and I just had to get a picture of it because I thought it was sweet. Can you tell this boy has had many pictures taken in his life?

Danny has been growing up a lot lately. He gives us kisses, makes car sounds and crawls really fast to try to get into something or go down the stairs. He is now standing up and just hanging out. He will walk along side me if I hold his hand. He is so ready but he isn't wanting to take the steps on his own yet. It will happen soon enough. We have really enjoyed him lately turning into a little boy. Ryan and Danny interact really well together and play together quite often. They are already a tag team...partners in crime. Once Daddy gets home from work each night he only wants to be held by him.

ROAD TRIP!! Part 2

After the parade Jamie's uncle Marvin took us to meet the Hutterites that live not too far from where his farm was when he lived there. Hutterites are a lot like the Amish. They were very nice people. When we drove up some girls were painting the fence. They showed us around their colony and showed us all the things they do there. They make everything themselves... From their cheese to their shoes. Their kitchen was amazing and beautiful but I guess you would have to have that kind of kitchen if you were cooking for up to 150 people every meal of everyday.

So here are a few pictures of them that I thought were fun.

You gotta love the Burger Baron. Their shakes are REALLY good. In Raymond in the summers they have really long days. The sun rises at 5:30 am and it doesn't set until 10pm. So fireworks on the 1st weren't until 11pm. The boys loved them. The next morning we were on our way back. We stopped in Glacier and saw the pretty sights. This year the snow hasn't melted yet so it is still quite snowy. Usually it is totally melted by this time..... so much for global warming... We stopped that night in Montana and then made it the rest of the way to Utah. On our way we stopped in Salt Lake and took some pictures in front of the temple. On July 1st the boys got to watch the parade in Provo, go to the lake with Jamie's family and watch the fireworks on the lawn of the Provo temple.

We got to take my cousin's engagement photos. This is right next to the trail to hike up to the "Y". It was a really great trip and it was really nice to meet Jamie's cousins. They were all so friendly and caring about how we were.

ROAD TRIP!! Part 1

We really had an enjoyable time on our trip to Canada with Jamie's family. The boys did a lot better in the car than I thought they would. It was very helpful that my sister in law had some seats down in her Yukon and Ryan got to ride with them and their kids and watch movies and not have to be strapped down to his car seat the whole way. The first night we stopped in Santaquin Utah and my Uncle Richard so graciously let us crash the night at their house and we left the next morning so we could make it to Raymond by the end of the day. We stopped in Idaho falls for lunch and got to enjoy a sack lunch in front of the Idaho falls by the temple.
We made it there by that evening. It is beautiful and green near Raymond with beautiful rolling hills. I especially loved the canola fields with the beautiful yellow. Now Raymond is a small town in Alberta. At times when we were there it seemed like we took a step back into time to Mayberry. There is only one store in the town called "the Merc". Just until recently they only had one restaurant in town called the "Burger Barron". And now they only have a chineese restaurant and a Subway to add to that. On Sunday it was Danny's birthday. Unfortunately that day he wasn't feeling too well. He had a fever and was really sad. So we left early that evening to stay with my grandma and grandpa that live in the summer in Cardston. They had never gotten to see either of my boys so that was really exciting for them. They loved every minute of it. They got to play with my grandma's dog.

We got to see the house where Jamie's mom grew up in Raymond so that was kinda fun. The people that live their now were so gracious to let us take pictures on their steps.
Of course July 1st is Canada Day so we got to go to Raymond's parade. The boys loved it and Ryan loved running and picking up the candy that each float would toss. On this trip the boys were a little extra clingy. They were very stranger danger. So you see below they had to sit in someone else's lap to take pictures with their cousins and they aren't happy... I don't blame them. They didn't get near the sleep they normally do and it was a strange new place.

Locked out

Once Jamie got home from work last night we decided that it had been a while since we had gone to the grocery store so we decided to make a run to Walmart. I took the boys out to get into the car while Jamie was writing down our shopping list. I went and clicked Danny's carseat in and then while I was walking around the car Ryan was inside and he locked the door. So I walked around to the other side and opened the driver door with the key and then I thought unlocked the car. So I started the car so that I could start cooling the car for the boys. I closed the front door and went to Ryan's door.... it was LOCKED! I tried the front door again but it was some how locked also. Ryan must have locked it again or something. So there we were in our own garage locked out of our car and in order to get into the car we were in the hands of our 2 year old... Just then Jamie came out and I told him what happened. So for the next 15-20 minutes we were knocking on the windows trying to talk Ryan into pushing the right buttons. He would push the lock button but he wouldn't push it the other way. We tried to get him to push the window buttons but he didn't. So after a little while Jamie decided that he would go inside and see if he could get a emergency locksmith to come out and open the door for us. Poor Danny wasn't too sure of the whole situation he doesn't like just sitting in his seat he has to feel like we are going somewhere. On the other hand Ryan was having a giddy ol' time. He was pushing all the levers and playing with the stereo and pressing his face against the window. The emergency locksmith told Jamie that in that kind of situation that we would have to call 911. At the same time I was on the driver side and Ryan was playing by the passenger door and I noticed that he had rolled down the window a bit so I ran over to his side and got my arm in there and unlocked the doors. I left the door open and ran inside and yelled,"IT'S OPEN!" and then ran back out side to supervise Ryan again. We definitely were glad that we didn't have to call 911 because we knew that our 2 year old was capable of doing it for us in the first place.

Heaven In Your Mouth

Saturday night we had a few of our friends over to play games. So we decided that we would make Jamie's family's famous Dr. Pepper Frosting Brownies. It seemed that everyone enjoyed them so I thought that I would share this amazing brownie and frosting recipe. I was going to take a picture to show the goodness but we ate them too fast before I remembered to take a picture...If I make a pan of these they don't last more than 24 hours in our house.

CAUTION: These are not in any way low fat but are very addicting and you can't have just one.

Brownie recipe
Melt:
1 c butter
Stir in:
1/2 c unsweetened cocoa
In a bowl mix:
3 eggs
1 1/4 c sugar
Beat, then add:
1 2/3 c flour
1/2 t salt
1 t vanilla

Mix, then add butter mixture. Bake in cake pan at 325 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.

Dr Pepper Frosting
1/2 c butter or marg
1/3 c Dr. Pepper
4 T. unsweetened cocoa
about 2 cups of marshmallows (this is my favorite part!)
powdered sugar until consistency of frosting

Melt butter, stir in DP, cocoa and marshmallows and cook until marshmallows are fairly melted. Remove from heat and whisk in powdered sugar.

Little Bunny Foo Foo

Yesterday as I was making dinner I let Danny crawl around down stairs. Danny loves to stand beside the bunny cage and hit the top with his hands. But yesterday the sound that he was making over by the bunny cage was different. It was more of a clink clink clink... My brother was over and so I told him to go get him out of the bunny food. When he brought Danny over to me we found green all around his mouth. He had eaten some of the bunny food. It looked like at least a few pellets because he had green griddy stuff in his mouth and on his face... It was quite funny but gross! Unfortunately because I was making dinner I didn't run to get the camera out. But what a picture that would have made!
